submissions
We invite work from all production designers in a range of artistic (fine art) disciplines. Please read more below.
Submission Requirements
To be able to submit a piece for this exhibition, you need to be a production designer who works or has worked in any of the following fields: Film, TV series, shorts, commercials, theater, stage design, event production, or even in a corporate company.
We're looking for pieces that speak about you: your essence, aesthetics, influences, inspirations, and dreams. The work you submit can be an existing piece you've made or a new one you created for the exhibition.
You can submit a piece ranging from a variety of art forms: Sculpture, video installation, painting, drawing, digital art, collage, and photography. Write a short bio about yourself and a statement about the concept behind the piece. Submit a simple sketch, draft, or mood board of the idea of the piece you are thinking of making. If you already have a piece you want to submit, upload an image of your finished work.
Submissions are now open. You can apply through Film Freeway until June 3rd, when submissions close. Selected artists who participate in the exhibition will be chosen on June 10th.
The organizers will contact them via email to inform them of the next steps for the event. Participants will have until July 1st to finish their pieces. Participants will be asked to pay a small fee to cover mounting expenses for their pieces (depending on size). Each artist will cover their own costs and materials to make their pieces. The money raised from the exhibit will be split evenly between all the exhibitors. The exhibition is planned to happen in mid-July. Specific dates and location for the exhibit are yet to be determined.
FAQ

No, you don't need prior experience to participate. We are looking for people who identify as production designers who want to submit their artistic work.
Is there any restriction on my art piece?
The sky is the limit. Your work can include any theme, style, or technique you'd like to use as long as it speaks about you and who you are as an artist.
